What is an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)?
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a legal requirement for:

All commercial buildings when sold, rented or constructed

All residential properties before being marketed for sale or rent
The EPC provides a rating of a building’s energy efficiency (from A – most efficient to G – least efficient) and includes:

The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will give you information about a property’s energy use and typical energy costs as well as recommendations about how to reduce energy use and save money.
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will give an energy rating onthe property. It will be rated between A to G. The most efficient is ‘A’ to the least efficient ‘G’.
Your Energy Performance Certificate is valid for 10 years from the date of issue. The document is compliant with regulations for both rental and sale properties.
